Please read Croy's discussion of the middle and passive voices in section 54. Also, please make sure that you read - carefully! - the discussion of the middle and passive voices here at the course website which contains a great deal of information that extends the discussion in Croy.

You might also want to take a look now at Croy's note about the deponent verbs in section 60, since that is vital information. Because the deponent verbs are some of the most commonly used verbs in Greek, you must become perfectly familiar with the middle verb endings! This is crucial to your future success in reading Greek.
