Reviewing Old Vocabulary

Each week you will take a quiz that contains questions drawn from the vocabulary of all the previous weeks. Here are some tips on reviewing that vocabulary:

1) Flash Cards. Use your flash cards to keep track of which words you have trouble with. Take all your previous flash cards and run through them, pulling out any card that makes you pause or hesitate. Study those words, and then run through those words again, pulling out the cards that you stumble over a second time. Focus your review efforts on the cards that you stumbled over twice.

2) QUIA. Use the QUIA games and activities to practice reviewing old vocabulary. Each week on the Vocabulary page, there is a link to the QUIA games and activities for the previous weeks' vocabulary. You will find online flash cards, matching games and concentration games at QUIA which can help make studying the vocabulary more fun.

3) Nouns, Verbs, etc. Focus your efforts each week on one particular type of vocabulary. You can focus on nouns one week, focus on verbs the next week, and so on. You can find cumulative lists of the nouns, verbs, etc. by consulting the vocabulary pages here at the website where the vocabulary words are arranged by type, lesson by lesson.
