Uttanka

UTTANKA. A sage dwelling in the desert who obtains a boon from Krishna: when he needs water in the desert, it will be given to him. Yet when Krishna comes to him in the guise of an outcaste hunter and offers him water polluted with urine, Uttanka refuses the offer. You can read the story of Uttanka and Krishna in an Excerpt from The Singer Of The Eternal Beyond by Sri Chinmoy.
