Aesop's Fables in J&D Latin Reader

Fable 28. Agricola et Anguis

anguem reperit,
frigore paene exstinctum.
Misericordia motus,
eum fovit sinu
et subter alas recondidit.
Mox anguis recreatus
vires recepit,
et agricolae,
pro beneficio,
letale vulnus inflixit.
Haec fabula docet
qualem mercedem
pro beneficiis
reddere soleant.
