Aesop's Fables in J&D Latin Reader
Fable 13. Asinus
Asinus,
pelle leonis indutus,
territabat homines et bestias,
tanquam leo esset.
Sed forte,
dum se celerius movet,
aures eminebant:
unde agnitus,
in pistrinum abductus est,
ubi poenas petulantiae dedit.
Haec fabula
stolidos notat,
qui
immeritis honoribus superbiunt.
