MUS, intra cistam quem progenuere parentes,

At semel affectu suadente reliquit ut arcam,
Inque pavimento dispatiatus erat.
Iamque revisendi properabat amore relictam
Forte domum cupiens usque latere suam:
Naribus, ille frui quo gaudeat, haurit odorem,
Nempe reservati quem liquet esse cibi.
Quo iam gustato, subeunte beatior aevo,
Quam prius acta mihi est, vita sequetur, ait.
Sunt sua qui numquam linquentes oppida credunt
Nil patriae melius moribus esse suae.
Quos natale solum si non sine fine teneret,
Felices alio forsan in orbe forent.
