PAST TENSE: Structurally speaking, 1st and 2nd Aorists are identical. The difference between 1st and 2nd Aorist is purely a matter of vocabulary.

Imperfect Indicative (Past)

active - ἔλυον 10.65
Mid-Pass - ἠρχόμην 11.70

Aorist Indicative (Past)

Active (1) - ἔλυσα 13.85
Active (2) - ἐλύθην 13.86
Middle (1) - ἠρξάμην 14.92
Middle (2) - ἐγενόμην 14.93
NON-PAST TENSE: The distinction between 1st and 2nd Aorist has no significance for the formation of the Future tense.

Future Indicative

Middle - ἄρξομαι 12.77
