Hello everybody, and welcome to Biblical Greek for Fall 2005. You will be doing some Orientation activities this week to help you get ready for the class. If you have questions at any point, send the instructor an email - laura-gibbs@ou.edu - and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Getting started early. Yes, you can get started early if you want! As of August 8, all the Week 1 Orientation activities are available to you, including the quizzes and discussion board areas at Desire2Learn. So if you want to get started with the Week 1 activities, go right ahead! The Week 2 quizzes and activities, however, will not be available until August 22, when classes actually begin.
All students are expected to complete ALL the Orientation Activities listed below by midnight on Monday, August 29, at the latest. If you have not completed all required Orientation Activities by that date, you may be administratively dropped from the course. There are recommended due dates listed below (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.). You are strongly encouraged to complete the orientation activities by the recommended due dates. If you put the activities off until the last minute, you run the risk of not being able to complete them by the absolute deadline of Monday, August 29.
Arts & Sciences Online Course Orientation: In addition to completing the Orientation Activities for this class, you are required to complete the College of Arts & Sciences Orientation for all online course students. This is something required by the College, completely separate from the specific requirements of this class.
