Translation Exercises

For Lesson 15, you should be able to recognize the perfect verb tense forms, but you will not be required to generate these forms, and you will not be quizzed on those specific forms. So you do not need to memorize the perfect tense stems listed by Croy, and you do not need to memorize the paradigms, although you should notice the similarity in the endings to the endings you know already. Important: You do need to make sure that you understand the Practice Sentences in Lesson 15 - in the commentary each of the perfect verb tense forms is identified for you and you should be able to read and understand the sentences.

Extra credit. There is also an extra credit option where you can post some translations of the sentences at the Discussion Board. This option is available through Wednesday at midnight.

Lesson 15. First, make sure you understand the new content in Croy by reading through Croy and then consulting the webpages here which provide supplemental information.

After you review these materials, you should be ready to do Practice Sentences, with help from the Commentary for Lesson 15 Practice Sentences and there is also a segmented version with audio.

Lesson 16 . First, make sure you understand the new content in Croy by reading through Croy and then consulting the webpages here which provide supplemental information.

After you review these materials, you should be ready to do Practice Sentences, with help from the Commentary for Lesson 16 Practice Sentences using the segmented version of the sentences to help you in your reading.

Also, now that you have the complete verb tense system, there is a chart of all the forms of the present, imperfect, aorist, and future, including a special Chart of Personal Endings (with QUIA Flash Cards to help you practice that).
